Urgent funding opportunity for Northern Ireland artists

1.The PRS Foundation’s first SXSW 2027 International Showcase Fund deadline is Wednesday, 23 September. It provides grants of up to £8,250 to UK-based artists, songwriters and producers who have received a formal invitation to an eligible international showcase or songwriting camp. Northern Ireland applicants qualify as UK-based; Republic of Ireland artists generally do not. International Showcase Fund.

This is potentially valuable for an export-ready Northern Irish Christian or gospel artist, but only someone already holding an eligible invitation can realistically use this round. Otherwise, work towards the later deadlines of 27 November 2026 and 6 January 2027.

2. Three further UK funding windows are approaching.

PRS Foundation has several programmes relevant to Northern Irish gospel creators:

Hitmaker Fund: Deadline 28 September; grants of £5,000–£10,000 for established behind-the-scenes songwriters and producers. This could suit gospel producers whose credits and industry impact are stronger than their public artist profile. Hitmaker Fund.

Composer Fund : Opened 14 September and closes 7 October; offers £8,000–£15,000 to composers with a significant UK track record. Gospel composers working across choirs, orchestration or commissioned works may be candidates. Composer Fund
